The forest of fashion

Once upon a time there was a forest in which all its animals lived in harmony happily and contentedly. One day, a family went to spend the day in the country, and one of the children forgot his socks. A raccoon passed by shortly after people left, found the socks and decided to try them on. They fit so well and were so funny that he no longer took them off, and he began to walk all day with them in the woods.

All the animals talked about the new appearance of the raccoon, and some were envious when they saw that it became the center of all eyes, so in a short time squirrels in shirts, rabbits in boots, moles with caps began to appear in the forest , and even a bird in its underwear! Dr. Bear, the forest doctor, shook his head saying to everyone he came across: "That can't be good. We animals don't wear clothes because we don't need them," but nobody paid any attention to him and everyone told him that he was old-fashioned and did not know how to be fashionable.

But it was not long until the first consequences of the fashion craze in the forest began to be seen: the squirrel caught his shirt several times with the bark of the trees, staying in the middle of the jump and falling from a great height; the mole tried to crawl into his burrow without taking off his cap, and was stuck at the entrance for a whole day, and one of the birds tied his wings with the clothes he was wearing and landed on some thistles, pricking himself to the bone. Even the raccoon, with his radiant socks on, slipped one day on one of the river rocks and nearly drowned.

When the injured went through the doctor's office, he prescribed the same medicine for all of them: "Come on, take off those clothes, one day you're going to kill yourself." As they listened to the doctor, they stopped having accidents, and thus they realized that they did not need any of that, and that it had been a great foolishness to start wearing fashionable clothes just out of envy and because of what others would comment.
